CONSTRUCTION OF BRAZED PLATE HEAT EXCHANGERS
A brazed plate heat exchanger is a device which consists in a serial of pressed and thin stainless steel plates vacuum brazed together with copper or nickel foil at very high temperatures which ensures a solid and leak proof device with a very high thermal efficiency.
BRAZED PLATE HEAT EXCHANGERS, HOW IT WORKS?
Flow Channels are formed between two adjacent plates heating and cooling media flow through alternate channels with high velocity and turbulence due to the corrugated pattern pressed in the plates, this corrugation also provide the unit with mechanical strength and roughness. Hex brazed plate heat exchangers pack high thermal efficiency with high thermal efficiency into a compact design, these units are ideal for applications where space is limited and the design and construction standards allow continuous operations at temperatures ranging from -100 Deg. F to 390 Deg. F. with operating pressures up to 400 PSI. in addition they are lightweight and can in most cases be mounted directly onto piping without supports.
